It is currently in its first season, with no definite word on a second yet. In any case. Episode Twelve of the new series is a turning point, as some important characters are killed off. Which is irrelevant to the following point. KITT's AI module is duplicated and inserted into KARR's shell in an attempt to 'domesticate' KARR. (Yeah, right. We all know how this one ends.) Point is, KARR is voiced by Peter Cullen. Sound familiar? That's Optimus Prime. Now, if KARR is Optimus Prime, that means that KITT must be... Megatron? Sounds impossible, right? False. Take one look at KITT's grill: one simply cannot deny that KITT basically looks like a Cylon. Remember the Heavy Raiders in the new Battlestar Galactica? They've got the Cylon red eye beneath their forward grill. If Cylons made Mustangs, I'd bet a significant amount of money that it would look like KITT. And what would they call it? A toastermobile, of course!
